BYP Jr.

John C. Crosby once said, “Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.” That is exactly what BYP Junior strives to do. Four times a week the youth of BYP Junior help tutor and mentor children, ages 5-12 years, at H.O.S.T. (Heritage Out of School Time). The BYP youth are more than just a few extra bodies roaming the halls of the Good Shepherd site. They are a tutor to help with homework, a playmate to do activities with, and a most importantly, a constant support system. Sometimes this can be challenging, but at the end of the day, it is completely worth it.
